As someone who has been doing Crossfit for over a year now, I can confidently say that it has had a hugely positive impact on my physical and mental health. From improved strength and endurance to increased confidence and a sense of community, the benefits of Crossfit are numerous and not BS as some might have you believe.
One of the things I love about Crossfit is the way it challenges the body and mind in a way that traditional workouts simply don’t. Each workout is different, and you never quite know what to expect. This keeps things interesting and keeps my body guessing, which helps to prevent boredom and mentally helps you take on new challenges (ramping up to a hero WoD for example).
But perhaps one of the biggest benefits of Crossfit is the sense of community it provides. When you’re pushing yourself to the limit in a Crossfit workout, you quickly realize that you’re not in it alone. Your fellow Crossfitters are right there with you, cheering you on and supporting you every step of the way. I’ve never experienced a more important fist bump.
2023 is going to be a big year for me in terms of Crossfit. I plan to go “all in”. As I’ve seen positive improvements (better blood pressure, improved testosterone and epic sleep improvements) ย and a new wardrobe of NOBULL I feel I’ve really found something that makes me better every session.
Of course, Crossfit isn’t for everyone, and it’s important to make sure it’s the right fit for you before diving in. But if you’re up for a challenge and are looking for a workout that will push you to your limits and help you achieve your goals, Crossfit is definitely worth considering.
Overall, I’ve found that Crossfit has had a hugely positive impact on my life, and I can’t recommend it enough. As a dad of two sons, it is my key to keeping strong so I can bring the boys on big adventures for the foreseeable.
